Valve has been setting bigger and better Dota 2 tournaments since The International 1, and that was proven true every year. Each one of The International championships gives surprise to the Dota 2 enthusiasts and the whole gaming community. Let's try to compare the major details of The International 3 (2013) to the upcoming The International 2014.
THE DATE
Last year's TI3 was held August 7 - 11, 2013, and this years tournament will occur on July 18 - 21, 2014 which is almost a month earlier than the previous due to the unavailability of the venue by August.

THE TEAMS
Unlike the TI3 last year, there will be 11 teams (instead of 13 teams like last year) invited directly as well as four Regional Qualifiers taking place May 12th through the 25th this year. The winner of each Qualifier will receive an invitation, with the four runner-ups from the four Reions competing in Seattle for the final spot. The Four possible Regions are as follows:
